handfeeding

i had the opp. to hand feed seedless grapes and pieces of bartlett pear to a pair of toucans at a local zoo a few days ago

now i'm ready to sell a car and get one LOL

seriously,
i get to go up there every month and i'll be seeing a lot of these gorgeous animals
i was wondering what sort of foods i can pack as a little treat for them
the guys at the zoo keep a large variety of fruits and vegetables on hand
but i thought it would be nice of me
... i mean it would be brownie points >wink wink< if i brought something with me
i always carry a handful or rodents for the snakes or a piece of fish for the gator babies
it kinda keeps me in good graces with them, who let me go into all the back rooms of the zoo

so any suggestions on special treats would be gladly appreciated
