I was swapping bird stories the other day, and one of the fellows has a toucan he's owned for fifty years. I have a feeling, like grey parrots usually living to 15 years (but strangely when fed well and cared for they'll live for decades) a number like 25 is just a case of aviculture not knowing precisely what the birds need to live to their maximum life span.
