Eastern Rosella

We have recently been given an Eastern Rosella in a tatty cage which an aquaintance could no longer keep. We think the bird is a male, but have no idea of its age, although it seems to be in good condition.
Any advice on keeping it, feeding it, and what would be suitable accommodation for it would be gratefully appreciated.
