: hi all new to this and i have a few Q for you.
2 months ago i was given a pair of G M Rosellas.I put them in my shed/aviary with my budgies.I put a nestbox in for them and with my budgies going to nest there was lights and a heater on in the shed.10 days ago the Rosella layed an egg but she never sat in fact she didnt even go back in to the box.5/6 days later i took the egg out.Next day she had layed another.Last time i looked she was sitting 3 eggs and was very protective towards them. Why do you think she layed the first egg then left it? Did i do the right thing by taking the first egg out??.
