it is illeagal for you to touch it, try to touch it, try to catch it, or transport it. I dont believe that your chicken was killed by the hawk, mainly because i have a redtailed hawk, and it does not even look at my free ranging chickens. So the culpret was probably a fox. DOnt TOUCH THE BIRD, OR YOU WILL BE IN BIG TROUBLE!!!!!!
:Hello! A few months ago we noticed a nice-sized hawn flying around our area. We thought it was a nice addition to the scenery, and weren't worried about it. But we raise chickens...as pets, and we let the wander the yard free sometimes. The hawk got one, and now the chickens are terrified to go out. We covered all their yards now, too. I was just wondering, and I know this sounds callous, and I really do love raptors, but is there anyone I can call that can safely capture and transport the hawk to another territoy? I don't want him hurt, but we can't have him around! Anyway, thank you.
