I just bought a 3-month old Meyers baby. In the pet shop, he was the most friendly and gentle. He doesn't like to be handled as much as my Cockatiels, but he is content to sit on my shoulder and bury his head in my hair and remain motionless that way for hours. He is making interesting sounds that I hope turn into talking, but it's not that important - he's just a really good boy! From the frequency of messages on this forum, it looks like not too many of us own Meyers - I think they are an undiscovered treasure. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Nigel is on a pellet diet and likes dried fruit, bread, and spaghetti. I've had him only a week, but he's settling in pretty good. He loves the shower, but doesn't care for the blowdryer like my cockatiels do. Hope to hear from you!
