We decided to keep the bird's name Charlie. My niece (5 years old) couldn't bear to let me change it. He is so funny. He has been starting to talk quite a bit too. He says "Hi" and "Hello" and what sounds like "I'm a good bird" and "Awwwww" (when you scratch his head), "I love you","Thank you" and I swear he sang "Santa is coming so you better be good!." That gives new meaning to the phrase "a little bird told me." Maybe birds do have an in with Santa? My sister said she has been singing Christmas songs to him so that is where he must have gotten it. :0) He purrs like a cat. Oh and he laughs! He says "hahahahahahaha". Last night he was walking up and down my leg and decided to bite my toe. Yeow! I wish that he would play on his back but he hasn't yet and I don't think now is the time to start. My niece scared the poor guy quite by accident when she turned on her flashlight. Eeks. What words do other people's parrots say? Any favorite new toys?
