Poicephalus make excellent apartment pets!! I have a red bellied who is only 3 months old, and is extremely quiet. He has started mimicking whistles and chatters while I talk. He is really trying to say Hola, and whistles along with Otis Redding!! His name is Che and he is my first bird, but I am now hooked! I considered so many different birds, searched for months and bought Che the moment I saw him. Poicephalua are really great birds!
