My post has two main questions. My first is I am considering buying a new bird. I fell in love with a Red-Bellied parrot this weekend, but am not sure about it. The one at the store was the last one left and was very sweet, but unfortunately it was already taken and I would have to wait a few months until they get another batch of babies. But I also heard that Meyer's are sweet birds too. Which would make a better apartment bird?
My second question goes along with the first. I already own a year and a half old dutch blue lovebird. It's a doll but it's not an apartment bird, and could only consider giving it up if it was someone I knew (family). I was wondering if I did decide to keep him, would the new bird pick up on his calls? He's quite loud and I heard the poicephalus family is quiet. But is there a chance they would screech like the lovebird? I would love to hear advice from someone who owns this type of bird along with another louder bird. Thank you!!!
