I have never owned a bird before, but I have had Wilbur for about 5 months now....he is a white capped pionus and was given to my husband and I by good friends who could no longer care for him....he is about 12 years old.....he loves attention and since I have recently retired, I am able to be attentive to him...he talks alot. He says How are you doing? Are you eating? Hello Neighbor! Pretty Bird. I love you. he whistles and clicks and clacks and clucks...He mimics us quite a bit...he barks like a dog in the distance...and he sometimes shreiks like he is in a rain forest.....he has a great personality....I was afraid of him at first...but so far so good...he loves to come out of the cage and stay perched on a shoulder, and he'll stay put for long periods of time and he likes to take walks around the house on a shoulder....he lowers his head and ruffles his neck and head feathers and then we pet him..How to give him a bath?
