Please help. My neighbor's peacocks flew away last night, and I'm trying to help them. They purchased a pair (1 male, 1 female) of 1 yr. olds about 7 days ago, kept them in a pen and fed them in the pen per the vendor's advice. Vendor said if kept in a pen and fed for one week, to get used to the new home, then peacocks could be let out of the pen and they would not fly away.

They were let out of the pen on the 7th day, but the pet dog scared them and they flew up into the tall pine trees and stayed there for 2 days, not coming down to eat. This morning the peacocks were gone.

Is there any chance the peacocks will return?
