W have three pairs of pacific parrotlets (all normal green), They stop setting the eggs about a week after they lay each clutch, On pair bit the toes off three babies and killes another one. We saved the babies and put syptic powder on the half bitten off and almost fully bitten off toes. we are hand feeding them know and they are about three and a half weeks old and doing perfect as though nothing happend. What might have triggered them to do this.

thanks
