He does get sprouts every day. I take about a cup of seeds from some Kaytee cockatiel mix and soak them for about 12 hours. I then put them in between a few wet paper towels and let them sit in the sunshine for another day. I change the paper towels a couple of times and rinse the seeds. After about a day and a half of being in the damp paper towels, the seeds start sprouting really good. He (Bob) loves to eat these. If you always keep some seeds going like this, you never run out and you can keep fresh ones in his food dish. You have to make sure you don't leave them in his dish too long or they will go bad. I use plain white paper towels with no patterns, etc. Also, the link you sent me on how to train biting parrots was excellent. I found out I was doing things totally wrong. I used the snarly face method along with step ups and it worked wonderfully. All I have to do is walk up to him and tell him "here comes the step up finger" (I know it sounds silly) and he will actually run to me and jump on my finger. It is like night and day with him now. I actually enjoy playing around with him now just as much as I like my conure (Conrad)!
