Oh, forgot about that glass-front enclosure you were thinking of - I'd have to say no for a couple of reasons.
Birds need to climb - mine climb the bars of their cages all the time - hang by one toe and swing or eat. It's great activity and exercize and entertainment for them.
Also, bird poop on glass is gross! And they poop frequently! Not like reptiles! Although it does look much like reptile poop! And they may, if so inspired, actually shoot poop! It's true - Kendall the greenwing was mad at me because I wouldn't stop and hold him so when stopped to say hello while he was on his play perch, he pointed, aimed, and shot! no kidding!
So, while it does look pretty, glass really isn't a good option for birdies!
