:I have never owned a bird before but am interested in purchasing a macaw. I am especially interested in the hyacinth macaw. Is this a good bird for a beginner who lives in a condo? It is a large condo and some noise will not be hear by my neighbors. Thanks!

Large Macaws are really not good pets for apartment/condo dwellers because they are very LOUD! No matter how well your condo is constructed, your neighbors would hear a hyacinth macaw. A hyacinth macaw is not generally a good "beginner" bird because they require special care (plus that huge beak can be VERY intimidating).
