I wonder if anyone can help?
We have a three year old GW Macaw. He/she was seriousley ill exactly one year ago. Symptoms--- desparate breathing difficulties and prolific vomiting. Tests for lead poisoning etc, were carried out, pssitacosis considered etc by our nearest bird specialist vet.
All proved inconclusive but after several antibiotic treatments the bird settled down--although never quite breathing as before.
The 2 other birds housed nearby and close companions, a Blue and Gold and a Mollucan Cockatoo, are totally unaffected.
Almost a year to the day the problem has reacurred. Does anyone have anything to offer? Thanks in anticipation.
