Hi everyone: I am worried that my work, which requires me to leave home at around 7:00am and return at around 3:00pm will mean that I will not be able to spend enough time with my new macaw (5 months old). I am also worried that it might screech all day because of loneliness...though I have set up a nice stereo system and a color tv in next to its huge cage with lots of toys. I am wondering if any of you had to deal with similar situation, and how you made sure your bird will not become an annoyance to neighbors upstairs and/or down stairs. At this point, I have been keeping him in his cage with the music on from 7-3, and then i take him out and hold him and talk to him and take him around the house...eventhough I am on vacation and I could spend much more time throughout the day, i don't think I should as he will become used to it and then become spoiled and want to be out all the time. Please advise me of the best way to ensure that he become adjusted to the schedule. thank you all in advance. Mike
