:hi
:i want to know everything about breeding macaws, at which age do i have to feed them by hand?

Ah, famous last words. Are you sure you are up for breeding? Breeding means loud shreiking from the pair(s) as they establish a "territory" more noises when they are breeding, large LARGE cages for the breeding pair, breeding diet (veggies, fruit, pellets, seeds) in LARGE amounts, incubators, brooders, 2am feedings, fledgings, wing trims, weaning, and finally trying to find a market for the babies!! Think extremely hard on this, it is a huge commitment not to be taken lightly. Think about your reasons for wanting to breed. If it's because you love birds, great, if you are in it for money, go sell cars. My advice would be to find a reputable macaw breeder in your area that can teach you, hands on is always better than in books. Oh, and for the question in your subject line: Yes, macaws bite, and boy do those breeder birds bite hard.
