He is actually also on Pretty Bird weaning pellets. Actually I came home 2 nights in a row and he was completely full before I even had a chance to feed him. I think he was just being a big baby because he eats all day long too :)

:It's not unusual for large macaws to wean at 6 months (or later for hyacinths)--in the wild, observers have seen them get occasional supplemental feedings from their parents up to a year old. Macaws are usually pretty good about letting you know they are weaned by refusing formula completely. If you're concerned about feeding formula, you might want to offer weaning pellets instead.
