I have a pair of Scarlet macaws which I bought about 3 months ago. They were seperated because the previous breeder said that this past breeding season they plucked them selves and did not produce. I just put them back together about a week ago and everything seems to be going fine. They get into a little sqwabble every once in a while but that is about all. The female really seems to like the male and they sit next to each other a lot. But when the male moves away from the female she follows him. I have got a breeding box on the cage for them but they have not seemed to go in it yet. In the box is Eucalyptus and Pine shavings for them to build there nest. Is there anything else that I should do?

I live in southern california and was told by the bird farm near me that it is breeding season for macaws.
