I currently feed my green cheek conure on a mix of Fiesta parrot and Fiesta cockatiel seed mix (I like Fiesta because it has many different kinds of seeds as well as pellets, nuts, dehydrated fruits, and peppers). Since lovebirds are smaller than my conure, I would assume they would do fine on a nice mix of Fiesta cockatiel seed (the parrot formula would be too big for them but with pellets non the less!!!) as well as fruits, veggies, and nuts?
And I also assume the housing requirements would be similar? By housing I mean, numerous perches of varying widths and textures for foot care, plenty of mentally stimulating toys and "puzzles", a happy hut or two (for security), food dish, water dish (I hope to get them used to a water bottle since that is much cleaner for them), etc, etc. And of course plenty of love and attention! Sorry for all the questioning, but I want to make sure they have the best home possible!
