Just another question... do lovebirds (by the way, i own 2 fischers) mate in their nestbox or perches? I'm not sure whether my pair has mated or not since I've seen any mating activity outside the nestbox.
:This is absolutely normal. Female peachface lovebirds do all the incubating of their eggs themselves. If they weren't so mean, they would literally be a sitting duck on that nest, so to speak. Lovebird pairs argue all the time. Trust me, if they were going to hurt each other, there would be such things as missing bloody toes, bloody ceres, or a dead bird in the cage. They are fine. The key is the fact that they settle down and cuddle together. If they are a true pair, and it sounds like they are, they will nest in due time. In time you have whole bunches of the aggressive little buggers.
