I take the commercial nectar mix and add organic baby food, spirulina, fruit juice and anything else I think they need, ie vitamins. Lots and lots of fresh water for them to play in, I've never seen them drink their bath water yet ;-) Definitely under NO circumstances would I feed pellets or anything to bind them up.
