:I work at a petstore, and we have a parakeet that is behaving strangely. We just got our shipment in from our breeder about a month ago, so all of the birds are still pretty young. This one in particular has shown no problems before, but lately is acting very strangely. He was pulled from the avairy because he was breathing heavy, and hunched over. We know that he was healty before because he was very friendly, and would step up on your finger from the cage. Well now, after being pulled into quarentine his head is arched all the way to his back, and it seems like he can't position it normally. (the back of his head is touching his back, like he's constantly looking up) Basically all he can do now is sit in one place. I've started handfeeding him and watering, because there is no way he can eat on his own in this condition. However I am afraid that he won't be able to swallow because of the odd position of his head. I've tried searching the internet for diseases, but have found nothing. Any help would be appreciated, it's difficult to see the bird in this condition. Thanks,
