Thanks for the input. My wife seems to be gaining confidence and trust and so does our new friend. The Grey is really starting to vocalize and seems to know ALOT of calls of other birds. Owls, Blue-Jays and Bobwhites just to name a few. The cat we adopted a few years ago lived outside for the first 7 years of her life knows the owl sounds too, it scares her something fierce. We also get what I suspect are normal sounds from a bird that has lived in a modern home. Telephone sounds (Followed by 'Hello' in two distinct voices), microwave beeps, and smoke detector low battery 'chirps'. I enjoy hearing the goofy, unique stuff that makes me wonder about all of the history of our newest adoption. The Sirens, (I would guess she has seen an episode or two of Cops), can be unnerving at times, but after less than a week, we are looking forward to a long, interesting and enjoyable lifetime with new family member.
