One thing I've observed in all our birds is that they poop more frequently when they're nervous. I suspect it has something to do with them being ready to fly away from danger (lightening the load before flight). You haven't had him long, and I suspect he will poop a little less frequently as he settles in. The best way to tell if he's drinking is to see him doing it. If you use a water bowl, you might be able to tell if he's a dunker who puts pellets and other foods into water before eating them. If you use a water bottle, you can mark the water line and see if it changes. Depending on what you're feeding him, he may not be drinking much water--if he gets a lot of moist foods he won't need much water.

:One more thing is he poops everytime I get near?? Is this a sign? He will take food from my fingers. Is there a way to tell if he is drinking his water, a trick in the bizz?
