Hello. We have made the jump into ownership of a 4 yr. African Grey Timneh from an auction. Should we have looked for a younger bird? A Congo? An Amazon? We have every intention to give it all the attention it needs and provide a happy home for him, but are we chasing a never winning battle? The first night he seems to just sit in his new cage. We are trying to slowly open the cage and hand feed him, but he takes it out of my(male) hand and throws it on he ground. While my wife can feed him and he eats. I want to be a part of this birds life 100%. Will he ever come around or should we look for a younger bird to raise? Thanks,
