Our grey, Kobe (4), has been raised on Harrisons and loves it. Every vet check has been perfect and he has never had any problems. The only other food he consumes is fresh vegies daily. No other human food or supplements. Also, I breed parakeets and have one that is 16 years old that has been raised on Harrisons. Good luck with it. BTW Kobe eats less than you would think so you may be putting too much in your greys food bowl. E-mail me if you have any more questions.
:I was wondering if anyone out there uses Harrison's Bird Food. I stumbled on to it during a visit to my very favorite bird store in Delaware, called Farmer Girl, where they recommended the High Potency Coarse pellets.
:Sparky prefers it to his Kaytee pellets, which he used primarily to amuse himself by depositing them in his water bowl. I don't know how much of the Harrison's he is eating since it tends to crumble, and lots of it ends up on the floor of the cage. Harrison's says to feed less and the bird will become more adept at eating it. Can't bring myself to do that yet.
