Lucky had been bitten on the leg and foot by one of the budgies. Her circulation was so bad that some of the tissue died in one of her toes. The vet amputated the one toe, but she still has the others and the leg has its color back now. However, she sits entirely on that leg and points the injured toes backward. They apparently have no feeling in them.

:Is there anything the vet can do for poor circulation or an injured foot? what did the vet do in your case?

::Welcome to the Finch Board! Glad you're here!

::Your finch probably has an injured foot and needs to see the vet to diagnose and treat it. Could be a circulation problem as it was in my little zeebie. Let us know what the vet says.

:::Hi there,
:::Im new to this board and also new to owning zebra finches. I have several finches in a large cage together and i am concerned with one of them. One of my finches has a black toe and seems to spend a lot of time on the bottom of the cage. She eats and drinks ok, but i wonder if her foot is hurt?
