A bad seller

I attend local bird shows, and I've been following this table. I bought a bird from them actually. A bit ragged he was/is, after i got him home, got him clean, and got him proper food, he began to do better. This was probably june or july of last year.

The very next show, another Eclectus popped up. I almost bought her then and there. By her attitude, you could tell that she had been neglected and needed a good home. A look in the food cup revealed nothing but sunflower seeds.

At the next show, the same bird sat. This time, she was slow to move, only to bite. The tips of some of her feathers had turned yellow.

The final show i went to took place just a few weeks ago. She had been paired with a male, and the asking price for the two had more than tripled from what it was with her alone. Im guessing the boy (a Solomon) weighs in at somewhere between 7 and 8 hundred grams. He had picked nearly every feather from his breast. The female, well, she had more feathers with yellow, some feathers appeared discolored all the way to the base. The only time she moved was when a hand was within an inch of the cage, and she wouldn't even try to bite anymore.

I made a very low offer explaining that i don't have a lot of money to spend and that the offer wasn't altogether unfair considering the birds are sick. The seller promptly assured me that the birds were of perfect health. She should know, she works for a vet. At that point, i had to walk away. Im a man of a temper under certain conditions, and i knew that i would say or do something that i would later regret.

oh ya, almost forgot. The food cup had Cheese Nips this time.

After watching this bird for the past 7 or 8 months, if i see it at another show, i don't think i will be able to take it sitting down. Im trying to think of ways to force a sale of the bird so that i can send it to a better home.
The reason that i write this is because Im looking for suggestions on how to help the bird.

Thanx
~Rich
