I asked the same things before I got my eckie.....I was told that there really is no difference in the male and female. Yet I have also heard that the females bond better with women and the males bond better with the men. Thought I don't know for sure if this is true. I have a female S.I. and she is wonderful. She will be a year old on the 18 of november. But...the one thing you will hear about eckies is that they are the cats of the bird world. They are usually not known for cuddling...more for funny personalities and wanting to be wherever you are...though I am sure there are those out there that are cuddly. My fild is not real cuddly...unless she wants to be (alas the cat in her) go figure..lol. She is wonderful though.....her personality is really starting to show. trin : I hope to get an ecelectus this summer! Which is better- males or females? How hormonal are they? Do the males talk as well? Do they like to cuddle? : I'd like to hear cute/smart/funny eclectus stories :-) : thanks : Jess : : : Well... I really have no question about my bird at this time, but i would love to hear some feedback from other eclectus owners. My male eclectus is really a character. I have heard that they can turn mean but I really do not see this happening, ever! He's such a goofball. So if anyone wouldl like to add anything I'd love to hear some stories about your birds!!! : : Hoping, Amy
