I have never had a bird with this disease....but I have read quite abit about it (had a scare with my eckie) I know ppl that have been through this and later on it just went away. I agree with what someone else said though.....it can transfer on your clothes and hair. But I have heard that some birds live for years very comfortably with this disease....though no bird has told me this. Good luck with you fild......I hope he/she is ok. Give her my best.

: vets and fellow bird hobbyists, please help! my eclectus has tested positive to pbfd. i have seperated her from the other birds and am keeping her by herself. what should i do? i dont' want to put the bird to sleep, but i don't want to risk the lives of my other birds. vets please send suggestions. i have had two tests, 90 days apart, both tests were positive. link info and advice, thanks
