::Someone came to my house tonight with a Canada goose, a little smaller than the average one. He found it flopping around in the middle of the road. We aren't exactly what happened to it, maybe poisoned? It's nose is running, and farmers have a pesticide on their corn seeds right now which could be harmful. It may have been hit as well, one wing is hurt, but not broken. The goose is not overly responsive, but not completely out of it.

::Right now, we have it in a small dark area on towels with a bowl of water. I don't think my parents would agree to take a wild goose to the vet's office. I hope we can call the Department of Natural Resources tomorrow if the goose is still alive.

:Whoops - the first one did not go through. I hope your local wildlife rescue was able to take your goose in? You did the right thing!
