:it shouldn't take more then 24 hours, and if theres no movement after they begin hatching then they are most likely dead
:they need to be warm and humid, if they dry out then the membrane will get leathery and trap the duckling inside(thats what happened to mine) moving her nest was a mistake, all that did was make her stress out, and I dont blame her for leaving, and she has to get going south, if the ducklings began to hatch while outside without mom they most likely froze to death, if you feel movement inside the eggs then put them one a heating pad they need warmth, and humidity, when i hatched my ducklings it was 100 degreed F inside the the rubbermaide tub, but they felt like ice cubes, if they do hatch make sure their bodies are warm
