I found a young (fully feathered and seed eatting) Dove on the ground after July 4th. Her wings do not appear to be broken. But she merely runs, hops and 'flys' about a foot. She does not get 'air' and therefore would not be safe from predators. At what age should they fly? I would rather her keep her freedom, than become a caged pet. Only, if caged means safe and free mean food for someone. Anyone have any ideas. I take her out every couple of days to exercise her, hoping she will fly. Regretfully our Wild Animal Sanctuary does not keep doves. Thank YOu
