My wife and I have been lucky enough to have a pair of mourning doves lay eggs in a hanging basket outside out fron door for the last three years, including this year, but I am concerned.
I know she laid atleast two eggs last week and as for as I can tell, they were white. Today, very close to her nest, on the ground, found one whole egg and one broken shell, but the shells n both were baby blue.
Are these her eggs???? I want to check but don't wnat to disturb her just to look in the nest.
Can anyone help or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do.
Thank you.
