I just got a 4 year old female conure the is very mean. She has pluck some of her feathers so now her belly and under her wings are all gray down. She will not let you near her. I put my arm up to her to see if she would get on and she bit it are through my sweat shirt. I want to work with her and have her come out and understand that I am not a threat to her. I have another mitred conure that I call a male and he is wonderful. She likes him. The moment she saw him she went crazy, wanted to be near him. Her wings aren't clipped and I was told she doesn't fly anyway. I need help on how to try and build some trust with her. Also she is alot bigger than my other bird is there any ways to tell the sexes apart, could size have something to do with it?
