My wife and I have a pair of Conures, a Sun and a Nanda (sp?) that have been living together in the same cage of at least six years. Recently the Sun has become aggressive, picking fights with the Nanda, etc.
We've never had them sexed but we assume they are both the same sex since they have never exhibited breeding actions. The Sun has also started to become aggressive with my wife, bitting mostly.
The Sun has always been "my bird" and insists on being with me when it is out of the cage. Recently it has started to exhibit what I can only describe as sexual behavior toward me, rubbing its beak against me and quite frankly trying to have sex with my hand.
Any thoughts on what's going on and can we modify the behavor?
