My wife and I have a 9 month old handfed (by us since he was 4 mo.- "he" has not been sexed) Jendaya Conure. We're trying to provide the best environment for him, but his screaming leads us to think we're not on the right path. In fact, it is very troubling to our environment! Please help us- our specific problem areas are:
- when the phone rings, he screams several times (until we sequester ourselves in the bathroom). It is troubling since I work from home often... the phone is vital.
- when things beep- like the microwave buttons, the phone buttons... also unavoidable.
Also- the expected screaming when we come home. Do you ignore- then take him out, or take him out straight away?
This is not as troublesome as the other points above because we knew when we bought him that there would be some amount of screaming and we know it is just because he was alone all day.
Thank you in advamce-
