I have a question about introducing different species of conures. I have a blue crowned conure which I've had for almost five years now and a nanday conure which I've only had for about five months. During this time they've been kept in the same room but in different cages. Recently I've found my blue crowned conure sitting on top of the nanday's cage on several different occassions preening the nanday's head through the bars. Since they seem to be getting along so well through the bars I was wondering if it would be safe to let the nanday out on top of its cage as well. I just want to make sure neither injures the other. Any input would be appreciated.
