Cage territoriality is generally bad. It can be easily prevented if your conure is allowed out away from the cage enough. About the only 'good' thing about it, is that a cage territorial bird will be less likely to wander off.
But it is not really healthy for them to be allowed to be territorial. A bird that is left in or on its cage almost all of the time may come to think of it as their only safe place and they may become overprotective of it and aggressive.
