WOW!!! Congratulations on your new family member! She just "gave" him to you? Did she give you his cage and everything too? Did she say why she wanted to get rid of him? He sounds pretty cool :) Will try to help with anything you need. I found it helpful to read through alot of old posts and got some good ideas that way too. Phil 4:13 is one of my favorites too!

:I met a lady Friday @ the pet store who wanted to get rid of her cockatoo. After talking to her for awhile-she wanted to meet my family before she decided if she would give it to me. My wife, son & I went to her house Saturday. After meeting with us she decided NOT to give it to me-but my 15 yr old son, Geronimo. It is a 7 year old male "citron" cockatoo. He talks, barks like a dog & likes to swing upside down on your hand. I know she gave him to my son-but I'm going to enjoy the addition to the family! Will be looking for tips on raising him properly-want to have a happy bird! by the way his name is "Donavan"
