DearJustan,

I was trying to help. I am sorry if you didn't like what I said. I never said neglect and actually I never said you were abusing them either. i did say that it was bordering on abuse and I admitt that was too strong. i don't think that you are heartless. It just seems like you need help. Avian vet help.

I may be wrong but i do believe you birds are starving. I do not think that you are doing it intentionally but you yourself admit that they are thin and not plumping up.. what does that tell you? I am not into fighting on boards as it can get viscious and out of hand.

When you talked about setting your birds free I had the impression that you knew little about them. I was wrong I guess sorry about that.

I did assume that you were only feeding them seeds and for that I apologize also but I do think your babies have sour crop and are not digesting their food right. That is what I think. Take it with a grain of salt if you please.

I didn't mean to upset you or make assumptions. Its just that your situation seems to be an emergency and I wasn't sure if you knew that.

peace

:Neglect, Starving, Suffering, abuse?? Waaaaay da minute, back up there feather heads. before we ALL jump on the "shame on you" wagon make no mistake, no one is suffering, starving or any of the other nice things you got pictured in your head.

:Allbeit I'm still green, but I've raised now 4 clutches of babies and not a one died or got sick. Heck, I even saved one from choking; and judging by their personalities and loving manor I would have to say none have ever felt abused.

:Although I can apprieciate your concern regarding the care of the birds; how about addressing the questions with answers assisting in solutions hmm? Isn't that what this forum is for anyways?

:I have been a part of this forum for over a year now and until these presumptuas coments have found it to be a good place to gather information from those who are expierenced and educated in such things.

:A few lines and a brief discription of a situation does not 'tell all' and ill informed judgments are unecessary and uneffective in solutions. I.E. I try and keep the crops full as would the parents. But it would seem they are "starving" and have "sour crop". I feed the parents a variety of foods broccoli, Romain, fruit etc. ("not potatoe chips") much of which they rarely will eat and seem to eat mostly the seed.

:Its true they see me for about an hour in the morning before work and two to three hours in the evenings and most of the day on the week ends outside that they sleep most of the time.

:Any other concerns you need clairification on just let me know.

:Anyways, if there's anyone who actually knows anything about my earlier questions an educated response is welcome...Is remy still around?

:Justan
