: My canary's toes curl under so that he cannot no longer grab unto his perch without losing his balance. Of course, he can no longer scratch himself because he cannot stand on one foot even when sleeping. On his left foot the rear toe that should be in the back is curled under the front toes. My vet claims this is a liver disease and cannot be treated. Please advise.
