My bird's name is Topi, but my best friend said that I should call him Dracula instead!!! Anyway, I was told that if the bird bites, to firmly say the word "NO" and not to pull your finger away (which is very hard to do!!). Well today I tried that, and the little bugger did not let go!!!!! If someone has a suggestion for how to avoid the biting please let me know. Thanks. --Charle : My baby male Caiques (Ziggy) hates me! Bits big time, blood and just me! He will play with anyone that comes to our house but wont let me hold him or come near him. My heart is broken cause I really love the little guy. He wont even let me clean or put food in his cage with out a fight. Please, can anybody tell what I can do to make him like me. We have had him now for 2 months and when we first got him he seemed to like me then. Then about 2 weeks ago I opened his cage to play with him, as I had been every day and jump at me and bite my finger and drew blood, weaved back and forth, fuzzed up, wings out and his eyes went big and little. I never did a thing to him to make him hate me. Just one morning he decided he hate me. He has now drawn blood from me 6 times. I don't have very many fingers left and now afraid to get him.
