Building a metal aviary?...

Could you please tell me how I can build my own metal aviary.

The aviary will house: Budgerigars, Cockatiels, Zebra Finches, Bengalese Finches, Gouldian Finches, Diamond Doves, Japanese Quails, Bourke Parrakeets and Scarlet Chested/Splendid Parrakeets. A seperate section will house a pair of Golden Mantled Rosellas.

I would be using 1/2 x 1/2 16g mesh but I do not know what metal or type of bar the mesh should be attached to, or how to attach it. How do I do this? I do not want to use galvanised mesh or tubes as I am worried about zinc toxicity. Would copper washed mesh be safe and rust proof and an alluminium or stainless steel tube be okay? Also how will I go about making a safety porch?

I have searched the web but found only already made aluminium angle panels, which are very expensive. So I would like to make a metal flight myself and save on labour costs.
