It is my belief that when breeding birds it is best to separate the mating couples and keep them together in their own cages and when their babies reach maturity, then it is Ok to put them in a
large flight cage with other birds so long as the other birds are unrelated and that there is an equal ratio of males to females. Is this so? And once any of these start to mate, is separation from the others necessary or preffered and what is the maximum population per cubic volume of space in a multi bird aviary before overcrowding occurs?
