Some more quick ideas I just thought of while looking at my cage. I would use plexi-glass windows but place them at
an angle with the base being wider, this would make cleaning much easier.

I also would try and build a wider cage with a perching post in the center, well that is, if you
can donate 4 feet or so of your room to a bird cage. Having a perching post and nesting boxes in the center of the cage and forcing the birds to fly around the out side of the cage would give the birds a greater sense of space in the same size cage.

Lastly, be spase with the perches and decorations, they can be hell to keep clean, and can provide a place for bugs and other pests to live... Just some thoughts, let me know what you come up with, I have aquired two large pieces of plexi-glass 8 foot X 6 foot and now I am thinking of making a new cage, moving my little birdies possibly to an outdoor cage for the transistion... Let me know if you have any other ideas.
