HI Birdlovers..I would like to ask that you guys PLEASE come join this Yahoo group. It is to discuss END ..exoticnewcastledisaese. THis is part of the reason I have not been around in so long. Since we have had that outbreak in the SW USA I have devoted myself to learning about it and trying to help educate others what can be done in the way of biosecurity to help protect your birds. We have to try to protect them. We staretd a Yaho group and here is the website address.. I really want you all to come join..ask any questions you have and contribute anything you can to the discussions. PLEAE dont think because its not in your state that you dont have to worry. It can be there at any time. AL BIRDS can get END even wild birds and they travel and migrate. All it will take is ONE infected bitrd to fly to your area and then your state will have the problem. When you order things be sure they are not comming from areas that have END as it can even be spread by boxes that have traveled thru the areas! Yall know that over 3 MILLION birds have been killed since late Sept 2002 and that a parrot can carry the virus for 400 DAYS and never show a sign yet still be spreadiing the disease?? Its all true.
