:I'm working on converting my birds to eating more veggies right now it's a mix of seed & herrisons(sp) Pellets.

:I was wondering about Salsa(Fresh Veggies & No Preservitives)
:I know No Avaciado, chems. & such. But is there any issues that anyone know about with Salsa ?
:I'll be going with Mild, Even though I perfer FIRE HOT :) {Habanaro Baised}

Two years ago a friend had a bumper crop of jalepenos and habanaros, not only that, they were hotter than hottest. We made our own salsa -- some with jalepeno and some with habanaro. I stand before you to say my birds, budgies, lovebird, noble macaw and cockatoos (especially the cockatoos), all except for the finches, LOVED the salsas. I honestly think they ate more of it than the humans in this house did.

If you look at various cooked foods for parrots, and even some of the seed mixes, you'll find dried hot peppers mixed in. You may be surprised at some of the hot stuff they do like.

I also made homemade stuffed jalepenos from that hot bumper crop that was shared with me (poppers) -- and those were another big hit with the feathered flock.
